Upcoming Chamber Events

The Charlestown Chamber of Commerce regrets to announce that the 36th Annual Charlestown Seafood Festival, scheduled for August 7, 8 & 9, 2020, is canceled.  On April 29, 2020, the Governor of the State of Rhode Island decreed that all large events planned for this summer cannot take place due to the restrictions placed on crowd sizes caused by the recent pandemic.  This will be the first time the Charlestown Seafood Festival has not taken place in thirty five years.   We have every intention of returning on August 6, 7 & 8, 2021 with an even bigger and better festival; plans are already underway.  We would like to thank our patrons, members, volunteers, vendors and the Town of Charlestown for their continued support during these trying times.
It is vitally important that you support our member businesses at this time and going forward.  As the economy slowly reopens, and restrictions on travel and tourism are lifted, the Charlestown Chamber of Commerce and Tourist Information Center intends to open for business as usual this season.  In the absence of our biggest fundraiser, we strongly encourage you to please continue to support our valuable organization by consider making a donation.  It has been and continues to be the generosity and support of our businesses and community that keeps the chamber and tourist information center viable.  Stay tuned and follow us on Facebook and the chamber website for updates and plans for next year festival.

The Charlestown Memorial Day Parade Committee regrets to announce that the 2020 Charlestown Memorial Day Parade and observances, scheduled for Sunday May 24, 2020, are canceled.  The Governor of the State of Rhode Island has decreed that all large events cannot take place at this time due to the current pandemic.
The parade and observances are now in their 22nd year.  We are making plans for a bigger and better parade on May 30, 2021, we hope you can join us.  We appreciate your support and attendance over the years and hope you will mark your calendar for our next parade.  Without the support of our marchers and bands we would could not adequately memorialize those brave men and women that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
All current donations and contributions to our 2020 event will be re-directed to our 2021 parade and observances.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 401-364-3878 or heatherpaliotta@earthlink.com.
Sincerely,
Heather Paliotta,
Charlestown Memorial Parade Committee Chair
